STAR SEARCHER by Andrew Reed Copyright 1984 Scorpio Software UK. THE GAME -------- Our friendly Alien has engine trouble. Those MkIII Lithosuacers were never the most reliable of craft. A couple of trips around the Galaxy and you've got to replace the spark plugs and the Dilithium Crystals. The problem of course, is locating the Star Crystals; most local Asteroid Fuel Stations these days don't carry many spare parts for the MkIII - they seem to have their shelves stuffed with SuperNova Crisps and stuff to bung in your LaserVideo - but no engine parts.... So we find ourselves in a nice little planet full of Dilithium mine workings and the rest should be easy. As soon as out saucer touches down we scramble out of the ship and dig our way towards the crystals, located in the pummellers. But be quick, because the local inhabitants will be blasting their Robotank cannon at your saucer in no time at all - so you need to dig as fast as you can. Avoid the red rocks - they'll not only slow you up but crush you to a pulp if you try to go under them. Once you have the crystals - zoom into the air chamber and - well, your problems are only half over. Now you have to get back to your ship on the surface, jumping from rock to rock, collecting crystals on the way as quickly as you can. It's a tough life cruising the spaceways, but with constant practice you'll do it. GOOD LUCK! CONTROLS -------- KEMPSTON or PROTEK joystick compatible.
